So, this little nugget turned two today. She is a character and a half (she must get that from her dad). Over the last year we’ve watched her learn to walk, run, climb everything (so scary) and dance (like full on choreographed Wiggles routines, to say she is impressive would be an understatement). She is a force… like they talk about in Star Wars (full disclosure, I’ve never seen Star Wars, so I’m making an assumption). She can identify numbers and colours, some letters and could pick Ana and Elsa out of a lineup. She believes in equitable treatment of all – if she gives Winston a cracker, she must also give one to Thatcher (or “Satch” as she calls him). She loves the park, strawberries, pizza and double chocolate cupcakes (me too!). She gives the best hugs and is always amenable to giving me a couple of extra kisses before she goes to bed. Her best friend is Pandi (a panda with gigantic eyeballs… if I’m being honest, Pandi creeps me out a little bit). She is cool with sharing and tries to calm her brother when he is on the verge of turning into baby Hulk. She isn’t afraid to speak her mind… unfortunately we have no idea what she is trying to say 87% of the time, but she says it with such conviction. She is left handed and loves to colour… on paper and kitchen cupboards. I can’t believe she is another year older already. Time, slow down, no need to sprint, this is a marathon (also, you don’t like running, so if you’d like to slow it down to a light jog or walk, that’d be cool).
